A Fan-Operated Science Fiction and Fantasy Literary and Filk Convention in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Gaming Info

Ready for 2004: We've got open gaming, LARP games, card games, board games, and a copy of the Matthew Broderick movie WarGames. Here's a partial list of what we've got planned for your gaming needs:

IFGS - The Dallas chapter of the International Fantasy Gaming Society, a local non-profit live-action pole playing group, will present two live-action games at FenCon: an outdoor 'Fight the Knight' event an an indoor a mini-game. Both showcase the Knighthawk Armoury's line of latex foam weaponry, conveniently available in our dealer's room. Visit the Dallas IFGS on the web at http://www.dallasifgs.org.

Munchkin - Tamisan runs this irreverent card game from Steve Jackson. Up to 8 players will level-up as they battle wizards and dragons using slings, arrows, and the Deus-Ex-Machinegun.

Call Of Cthulu - Carmen Clemons is hosting this live-action game, suitable for 4 to 10 players and a comparable number of staff assistants. Though the game is no-contact, players must match both wit and might against Lovecraft's evil in this intricately scripted game.

Save the Elves! Kill the Elves! - Stephen Brown brings the Generic Universal Role Playing System to life with a combat game based on the third-edition GURPS system. Get ready for a fantasy campaign set in a wonderful world of high technology with traditional fantasy elements.

Ecstasy Virus - Claudia Smith unleashes the Ecstasy Virus, a game ideally suited for 6 to 8 players. Characters will be provided and the plot involves police officers investigating a new drug. It's loosely based on the GURPS and Call of Cthulu systems.

Stormfire - Daniel Hunt presents Random Imagination Gaming's Stormfire, a sci-fi/fantasy crossover similar to Resident Evil. There are a wide variety of scenarios and the game can accomodate as many as 8 players.

Plus, Cheryl M. is tentatively set to run Living Greyhawk and, of course, there are more gaming opportunities to be announced during the convention.

Getting ready for 2005: Can you run a multi-player game? Do you have a board game we can borrow? Do you have every Yu-Gi-Oh character memorized? If you can help run a game or have game supplies to contribute, please contact us at gaming@fencon.org after FenCon 2004.

Please fill out this form. You will be contacted right away.
