It's an honor: Congrats to our pal (and last year's FenCon toastmaster) Bradley Denton! His short story, "The Adakian Eagle," is a nominee for mystery fiction's top honor: the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America.

Kudos: Congratulations to FenCon IV guest of honor Connie Willis on being named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America. The 2011 Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award will be presented during Nebula Awards weekend in May 2012.

On the program If you are interested in being a program participant at FenCon IX, please read our updated program participant guidelines. We hope it will answer most of your questions.

FenCon is of the fen, by the fen, and for the fen.

Party people: Want to throw a party at FenCon? You must let us know so we can put you on the "party floor". Parties anywhere else may be shut down by the hotel. Send a note to hotel@fencon.org with your name, your confirmation number, and what your party is for. (Bonus: we'll promote your party in the at-con newsletter.)

We're honored: KTVT, our local CBS station, named FenCon as one of the "Best Literary and Book Events in D/FW" in 2011. Citing our "wide array of activities" for both adults and children, they said "FenCon is the place to be this September." Wow. Check out the complete list.
